Jody's Wedding

Kirk's younger brother, Jody, got married in Vernal over memorial day weekend. They have been together for two years but decided only ten days before the wedding to get married. It was a wedding in very short notice but we wouldn't want to be any other place. Jody got married to Taryn Henline and she is such a cute girl and fits into the Howcroft family perfectly. Not just any girl can put up with all 5 Howcroft boys plus Tom and Grandpa but she does it well. She has a cute son, Stetson, that we are also excited to welcome into the family. Kirsten adores Stetson and they stuck together like glue playing at Nana's house (he let her play his DS, what is not to love about a kid who shares!).
We drove up Thursday afternoon and stayed the night with my sister Camille in Santaquin. We sure love having them as a stopping point. We went to the cute nearby park at dusk. We played until well past dark soaking in the grass, water, and the "old time America" park.
Friday we arrived in Vernal around 2. The girls had a blast playing with Brixton and Hawk on a twin size mattress. The kids were seriously entertained for hours...best toy ever! That evening we dropped the kids off at my moms (they ended up having a fun last day of school party with Kristy and Camille's kids) and I went to the bachelorette party and Kirk went to the bachelor party. It was so fun to have dinner with Liz, Karen, Taryn, and Whitney they are all so kind and fun. Afterwards we went for late night pedicures and weren't done until 11:00 at night! Kirk had fun at the bachelor party...true to Howcroft standards they had steaks bigger than their plates. Nights like these are why it is hard to live so far away.
We spent Saturday helping Karen get ready for the wedding. Not only did she pull off a wedding in ten days but she had her yards looking spectacular and had the wedding in her backyard. Everything really did turn out perfect. The yards looked amazing. The bride was stunning and the groom had a love struck grin on his face the entire time. Afterwards there was a delicious dinner, cake, and presents and then everyone went home. It was a beautiful wedding and we were so happy to be there to support them. We love you Jody and Taryn and hope you give our girls cousins sooner rather than later :)

The Sunday after the wedding was Kirk's birthday. His favorite part of the whole day was waking up with all his girls in his bed (the girls never sleep with us so this is really a treat). His mom made him his favorite breakfast (waffles with strawberries, bacon, and eggs). We went to my parents house for lunch. A lot of my siblings were in town so it was super fun. My mom made Kirk and german chocolate cake and then we went around and everyone said their favorite things about him. There is so much to love about him but the consensus was he is kind, loving, and so much fun to be around. Happy 28th Mr Howcroft!
