25

Today my husband turns the big 25!
We have so much fun planned it's overwhelming!

25 things I love about my man!
1. He's a freaking genius!
2. He kicks trash when it comes to volleyball
(and somehow makes me look good too)
3. He's an amazing Dad
4. He would rather be with his wife and daughters than his friends
5. He sets out to do his very best and doesn't give anything less
6. He lets me lay in bed and watch him workout in the mornings
7. He never gives up
(especially when it came to dating me)
8. He doesn't worry about money, it's not something we fight over
9. He cares about my family as much as I do
10. He is my superman
(or at least Knight Owl)
11. He is always ready to give me a priesthood blessing to comfort me
12. His email address is igotthebestwife@gmail.com
13. Our family is his first priority
14. He was thrilled when we found out we were pregnant again, and convinced me to be too
15. He will take over the kitchen some nights and just let me relax
16. He stays awake and talks to me until I fall asleep
(even if it means he has to wake back up multiple times)
17. He writes me poems for mothers day, my birthday, and our anniversary
18. He is easy going and incredibly easy to love
19. When he gets home at night he chases Kirsten around for about 1/2 hour wearing her out for bed.
20. He excels at everything he does
(He's really rocking it at his new job, impressing them like crazy)
21. He encourages me to chase my dreams
22. He loves to explore and be adventurous, but is just as happy to play with Kirsten at the park
23. He can fix any technical problem over the phone.
24. A day doesn't go by where he hasn't kissed me and told me I'm beautiful
25. He's my best friend, who without I wouldn't be able to breathe

Baby girl

A couple weeks ago I found this cute dress at Walmart to bring baby girl home from the hospital in. I hate calling her baby girl. She deserves a name because she is very much a part of this family. So the other night Kirk and I sat down and decided on 4 names we really like.

Audrey Marie-I've always loved the name Audrey. Marie is Karen (Kirks mom)'s middle name. It's also the middle name of our niece Izzi who passed away last summer. Should we name her Audrey Marie after cute Izzi and Kirk's amazing mother? My brother Josh thinks we should spell it Audri...don't you think he's wrong?
Sara Ann-I think Sara is a classic name, but not overused. Ann is my mother and oldest sister (Kristy) and her daughter (Madison)'s middle name. Should we name her Sara Ann after wonderful women in my family?
Claire Emily-My two oldest sisters are Kristy and Camille. They are best friends (although I've been warned they fought a lot until they moved out of the same house) who were born 13 months apart. If I have two daughters Kirsten and Claire would they be as good of friends like Kristy and Camille? When I was a teenager I told my mom I desperately wanted a middle name. She unofficially gave me the middle name of Emily. When Kirk and I started dating I told him my name was Dynelle Emily. He called me Dynelle Emily throughout our 3 years of dating (I didn't correct him until we were engaged). Should we name her Claire Emily after me?
Kate Nicole-I have always loved both these names. Neither of them have special meaning except for being cute. How cute would Kirsten and Kate be?

Those are the names we chosen for our next daughter. And we call her each of them randomly depending on our mood. I usually call her Sara/Claire/Audrey/Kate, but she can't go on like this. Will you help us name her?

Kirsten is walking!

Remember how yesterday I told you Kirsten was close to walking?
Well last night after Kirk got home from work,
we were sitting in the living room going through mail
Kirsten took a couple steps
fell, then stood up on her own and took a couple more.

Don't ask me why she has a red pillow
She decided she can't walk without it
she carried it with her as she walked all around the house last night!

So close

Kirsten is so close to walking by herself. She walks all over the house with her doll stroller or push car. Just since the weekend she has started let go and take a few steps on her own. Any day now she's going to be terrorizing through the house and I just can't wait!
I got some video this morning of her walking with the stroller before she ditches it for good.

St George update:
It was 80 degrees in my house this morning when I woke up at 7:00 am
I think it is officially summer here

After checking on Kirsten taking her morning nap
I quietly stepped into the hallway and shut the door.
Under the bathroom door crawls a HUGE cockroach
Luck would have it that the vacuum was right there and I quickly doomed him to a life of dust
I immediately called Kirk who agreed to spray the house tonight, again
(it's true, we sprayed only two weeks ago)
Will we ever be able to live here without being fearful of cockroaches?

First Paycheck

Today we celebrated Kirk's first paycheck of his career
with lunch at our favorite place
(admit it, it's one of your favorite places too)
Doesn't it look delicious?!
We all enjoyed our hamburgers and fries very much
at our house, we really like to celebrate!

Graduation Party

Friday May 1 we had a bbq in Vernal to celebrate Kirk and his brother Aaron's graduation from BYU.
The food was awesome
Naturally, we had an awesome volleyball game
it rocked
we played in the sand and some of us threw it all ourselves
I'm so proud of you honey!

Thanksgiving Point

The Monday before we moved, Liz and Derik came out to help us pack up. It was so great to have their help. We took a break and went to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur museum. We had a lot of fun.
