Christmas

Christmas Morning! Audrey woke up at 5:30 ecstatic that it was Christmas! We told her she had to wait for everyone to wake up. Que Kirsten and Timothy! So 5:30 it was. Timothy woke up really sick and did not approve of Christmas at all. After a bottle he was back to bed. The girls were sooo excited! They had the cutest exclamations at all the things Santa brought. "ahh I really wanted this!" They were a delight and so fun. By 6 am both Kirk and I went back to bed while the girls played with their new toys, everyone was happy!
My parents were suppose to come out later that day and stay with us until Saturday. We were hosting a dinner for my siblings that lived nearby. But we were just too sick. We had to cancel everything and just stay home lounging and feeling terrible. We made french toast and bacon for Christmas breakfast and no one ate it :( We didn't even bother with lunch or dinner. Everyone took multiple naps and we were so glad when bedtime finally rolled around. A Christmas I hope we never have to repeat. I am grateful I got to spend the day with my very favorite people though :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve everyone woke up sick except Timothy. Worried the girls might have strep I took them to the doctor that morning. No strep just a really bad cold (or was it the flu...I'm not sure what the difference is). Doctor said it was take a week to 10 days and it was our families choice if we wanted to be around others for the holidays. We came home had lunch and decided we were not going to be sick! Kirk gave the girls blessings and we were all determined not to be sick for Christmas! Camille and Justin graciously still invited us for Christmas Eve celebrations! We had a yummy dinner, opened pjs (that matched their dolls!), did the nativity, played games and wrapped up with karaoke! It was such a fun night, unfortunately none of us felt very good and we weren't much fun. We sure love the Coopers for putting up with us. Santa had to come whether we were sick or not. We struggled through his arrival but were finally ready to go to bed when I realized we didn't have C batteries. A quick run to Maverick and finally we could go to bed!

Kirsten: Little Pony castle, flying fairy, AG bed

Vernal

We planned to go to Vernal the Sunday before Christmas because we wouldn't be able to come out for Christmas or afterwards because of my aunts wedding. We wanted to wish the Howcroft's Merry Christmas and give them their Christmas gifts so this seemed like the best option. Except Sunday morning I woke up super sick. We had to get our Stake Presidency temple reccomend interviews at 8 Sunday morning so it was a pretty early morning for us. I did not feel well at all but endured anyway. Kirk was singing in the ward choir Christmas concert so I had all 3 kids to myself for the whole meeting. Not a huge deal unless you feel like death. It was all I could do to not stare at the clock and watch the seconds go by. At one point the girls had to use the bathroom and Timothy and I found ourselves sitting on the floor in the hallway, I just didn't have energy to do anything else. I had to teach sunbeams that day and Kirk was already subbing in another class. But luckily our friend stepped in and subbed for Kirk so Kirk could sub for me. I came home and collapsed into bed.
Kirk being the huge hero he is, decided to take all 3 kids to Vernal so I could rest and get better for Christmas! So he packed all 3 kids and took them to Vernal (after doing a medicine run for me!). He stopped by my parents for an hour to be there for Chelsey's graduation party. He took all 3 kids to Stetson's birthday party that night and then put them all to bed at his parents. They enjoyed the morning at his moms and came home around lunch time. Is he not the most amazing man, ever?!
Meanwhile I didn't even leave my bedroom the whole time. Unfortunately Kirsten didn't feel great when they got home and the precedent for our Christmas week was set.
I think Timothy missed his mom :)

Quick Visit

Chelsey was kind enough to stop by our house on her way to Vernal for Christmas. I had been dying to see her and Ross again. It was so fun to spend time with her. We got to sneak away to Target for a few hours and Kirk and Cody got to see the new Hobbit movie together, so everyone was happy. Camille didn't want to miss out on seeing Ross and came and joined the party too. We sure love these people a lot :)
