Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Logan this year. My baby sister was due to have her first baby two days after Thanksgiving. We figured she would either have a sweet baby or a huge belly that needed pampering. My parents, Brett and family, and Camille and family also spent the weekend in Logan. Chelsey begged Kirk and I to come up Wednesday, so of course we did. My mom, Chelsey, and I jumped on the chance to see the new Hunger Games movie and went out late Wednesday night. The movie was so intense I was sure it would put Chelsey into labor...and it did! Thursday morning we woke up to Chelsey in labor! She headed to the hospital about breakfast time. We spent the day cooking and anxiously waiting to hear anything from Chelsey and Cody. We had Thanksgiving dinner later afternoon at the nearby chapel. Cody said it was time to push and we were all ecstatic. And then we waited and waited. And texted Cody every 20 minutes! We cleaned up dinner, made crafts, played basketball, checked into our hotel, and went swimming before we finally heard from Cody! 3 1/2 hours of pushing and Ross was finally here! 8lbs 5 oz of handsome baby boy! I (literally) jumped out of the pool and ran to get dressed. We went from pool to hospital in 5 minutes flat! Unfortunately for us they wouldn't let us see mom and baby for another hour. Finally meeting that sweet boy was the highlight of the trip for me. We spent Friday shopping, visiting the hospital (3 times), crafting, and swimming. Saturday we made posters welcoming baby Ross home and got to be there when he came home from the hospital. It was so exciting being in Logan when Ross decided to join the family. Love you Watkins, congratulations!
I told them "this is a picture of the night before you have Ross" and I was right!
