These are the cute pictures of Kirsten this week. The top one is her in the cute dress Elaine gave her and the second is our new favorite, in her sweater wearing jeans for the first time!

Mobile

Kirsten has a flower mobile above her bed...and she loves it! It has made it so easy to put her down for a nap. As soon as she sees the flowers she starts talking to it and grinning. It's so much fun and has provided us with hours of entertainment. We've included a video for your entertainment too(and don't be afraid of the grunting...it means she's VERY happy)!

She has a tongue

This week Kirsten discovered that she has a tongue! We've included a cute short video as proof.

Two Months Old!

Kirsten is two months old. It's so much fun to watch her grow. She is cooing and Kirk and I love to have conversations with her. She is smiling all the time and we aren't talkin about the small polite smile, she has the wide covers her whole face grin going on. She is showing off her half grin in the picture. If you want to see the full smile you have to see her in person.
She is really tall. This morning we measured her and she is 26 inches and only 10.5 pounds. Long and skinny. She's super strong and will straighten her whole body and not bend a muscle if she's not happy about something. She loves to stand on her feet and look all around. When she's mad and standing she's stomps her little foot. She is just so fun! She follows us around the room with her eyes and knows her mom. I was worried she would be strictly a daddy's girl for a while, but she definitely knows and loves her mom too. We sure love our Kirsten Sue!

Grandma Brinkerhoff

My Grandma Brinkerhoff passed away on May 7, 2008. Grandma Brinkerhoff has always been a person I have looked up to and respected. She's always spunky and one to make me laugh. As you can see in the picture she was one to put on hulk gloves and let me have it when I deserved it. We will miss her dearly but know she is happy to be with Papa who has been gone for 19 years.

We went to her funeral this weekend in St George. Everyone in my family was able to be there. It was fun to be all together at the same time again (the last time we were all together was when Brett left on his mission). Kirsten was the star of the weekend in her cute dress with a big red bow. Everyone wore red because it was Grandma's favorite color.

Kirsten's Blessing

Kirsten was blessed on March 4, 2008 (the day she turned 2 months old) by Kirk. It was an awesome day for our family. Kirsten woke up in the best mood and spent a good hour just cooing and smiling to us, we love that she is responding to us now. She wore a beautiful dress my mom made. My mom also bought her a cute pearl bracelet. One of the 9 year old boys in Kirk's class had his mom make booties for her, so of course she wore them. My sister Camille made her a beautiful white afghan blanket. You could say Kirsten was dressed in love. Kirk gave her a beautiful blessing. Afterwards we had a fun luncheon at the park. It was a beautiful sunny day filled with lots of friends and family. Thanks to everyone who came.
