4th of July 2011

We had a fun Independence Day here in Vegas. We started the day off with a celebration breakfast with our ward. Our ward sure knows how to throw a good party. We had yummy pancakes with blue berries, strawberries, and whipped cream, plus bacon, sausage, and eggs! A fire engine showed up during breakfast, the kids loved it! The firefighters showed us all the cool things about the fire truck, let us go inside, and then let the kids spray water out of the hose. It was completely fun and impressive. Afterwards the kids put on a parade with their decorated bikes, wagons, and scooters. It was really cute and the kids LOVED it! The girls were in charge of throwing candy out of the wagon but they had more fun eating it, ha ha!
In the afternoon we went over to our friends house and had a bbq complete with hot dogs, snow cones, water balloons, bubbles, snaps, and a whole lot of fun. It was a fun day and I sure feel proud to be an American!

  3. It never tires me to see pictures of your two darling girls together. They are beautiful! Your celebrations sounded fun and relaxing. Oh, and this is unrelated, but on our water heater is the date of installation, written in permanent marker: 3-04-08. I can't help but think of you and Kirsten every time I look at it. Miss you!
