the last day

The final days before Timothy's birth were busy with last minute preparation. Clean the bathrooms vacuum the house kind of things. We were very blessed to have good friends help us out. One friend cleaned our floors, another watched the girls for us, another came and cleaned my fridge, and yet another made us dinner. We feel so lucky and blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful and kind people.
My mom flew in Wednesday morning. It was so exciting to finally have her, everything was now really real a baby was coming the next day!
We were visiting and folding laundry that afternoon when there was an unexpected knock at the door. We were surprised and happy to see that it was Derik and Liz's family and Kirk's mom standing at the door. They were on their way to California to go to Disneyland and had decided to stop and say hello. We loved visiting with them for a few hours and as they prepared to leave Karen decided to stay in Vegas with us and be here for Timothy's birth. How extraordinarily lucky were we to have both of our mothers here for Timothy's birth?! We celebrated that night by having dinner at Olive Garden then seeing the Christmas lights at the Ethel M chocolate factory. The girls were in heaven having both Grandma and Nana to spoil them.
