My sister Chelsey wrote the cutest blog post about Kirsten on her blog (here). They have had a lot of fun together this summer, but last night was the best. I threw an empty two liter sprite bottle to Chelsey but it bounced off of her and hit Kirsten in the head. Kirsten demanded Chelsey give her kisses and tell her sorry. So Chelsey kisses her and say's she sorry, then Kirsten pointed her finger to the corner and told Chelsey she needed to go to the corner. Kirsten leads 18 year old Chelsey to the corner and then goes back to play with her princess's. Kirk and I are just cracking up! We finally told Kirsten to go get Chelsey out of the corner. Kirsten told Chelsey "don't do it again" and made Chelsey give her another kiss and went happily back to her dolls. It was hilarious and had us laughing for quite a while.

Mt Charleston
So not much happens in Vegas over the 24th of July (imagine that!). But since my family was getting together having fun in Vernal, Chelsey and I insisted on doing something fun. Kirk whisked us away to Mt Charleston. Ok sure we thought get us out of the house. We can stand outside in the sage brush and cactus for 20 minutes before our blood starts to boil. But Mt Charleston is not Vegas. Or Nevada I'm pretty sure. IT'S GREEN, like with trees! As soon as we realized we were in actual mountains we rolled down the windows and couldn't get over how good it smelled. Like fresh air, pine trees, rain! I'm positive that is what heaven will smell like. I have never loved the mountains more than I did today. We were out of the car for more than ten minutes and didn't even sweat, seriously! But all good thing come to an end and ours ended with swarm of flies following Kirsten around.

Pictures for Grandma
Talking to my mom the other day she requested more blog posts. I guess since we were the ones who moved so far away the least I can do is post more pictures! Audrey playing in her yogurt this morning was too cute to pass up.
The girls sleeping schedules have been miserable lately. For a week straight one or both of them is up at 5:00 EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING. (including my birthday!) And Audrey has been waking up multiple times during the night. So Kirk, being the amazing man he is gets up with the girls every morning and takes them running with him (yes in 95 degree weather, actually he does sweat for 3 hours afterwards, how did you know?) while I get some extra sleep. The girls share a stroller and are usually pretty good about. They use to sit side by side but Audrey decide to lean over the side and try to grab onto the tire (yes she does keep us on our toes!) So here are a few pictures of them in their pjs going running with daddy! (Cinderella goes too of course, dressed as Snow White, naturally)

Two Princess's at the Park
Tonight after dinner we took the girls to our little park to exhaust them before bedtime. They were so cute we made Chelsey run home and get the camera. Audrey was climbing everywhere...she even went down the slide by herself a couple times! (meaning she dived off herself and Kirk guided her down with his hand on her belly). And then she started climbing down the stairs herself. Crazy girl about made my heart stop a couple times. And Kirsten was her usual energetic self, always with princess's in hand.
We took this cute video of Audrey learning to walk the other night. Who told her she could grow up?

10 months!
Audrey is becoming a toddler right before our eyes. She has started crawling and walking with help. She has become a picky eater. Let me clarify. She will eat anything but she will decide what, when, how, what order, and what temperature it will be. Only a little high maintenance. She waves, says mama, and claps at the slightest amount of success. Audrey is our little social bug. She absolutely loves being around people. Most nights she goes to bed around 6:30-7:00. But if people are here or if we head to the strip she will easily stay up til 11:00 without blinking an eye. Completely the opposite of her sister. She is a charmer too. If you smile at her she'll smile back with a bashful turn of the head..so cute! When I took her to the doctor for her 9 month check up she had no problem sitting on the table herself appreciating all the extra attention she was getting. The doctor commented that she was very self assured for her age and then she clapped. She knows just how to melt your heart.
Newlyweds in Vegas
This past weekend my brother Brett and his cute wife Jess came down to Vegas to get sunburned and play with some of their cute nieces. We had a lot of fun with them and are grateful they made the very long drive from Logan to come see our new house. Here are some pictures we snapped at the splash pad.

A few things to catch up
1. Fourth of July: Swimming, bbqs, and fireworks with the neighbors...it was a perfect weekend!
2. Kirsten has traded in her cars for little princess dolls. Which she carries everywhere! We are always changing doll dresses. As you can see in the pictures she even sleeps with them. And if you look closely you can see her in princess purse which carries the dresses. It's rare to see her without it these days(even in the pool and at church). We have gone through 2 Cinderella dolls, 2 Sleeping Beauty dolls, 1 Ariel, and only have Snow White left. She's definitely more girlie. She dances around the room all the time and loves Cinderella the most. She is constantly changing into dresses and usually wears two at a time. We've also hit that lovely stage where she cares what I wear. When I came out of my room in a skirt this morning she took one look at me and said "cute!"
Love that girl!

3. My youngest sister Chelsey is staying with us this summer. We are absolutely loving having her here. We have had so much fun together. I love having another adult around during the day while we are adjusting to Vegas and making friends. Here are pictures of the fort we made one night. Popcorn, fudge, fort, and Tinkerbell movie. It was Kirsten's heaven on earth!
4. Audrey is crawling. It's stinking cute too!
5. The end of May first of June we traveled up to Utah and stayed for 3 weeks. It was too long to be away from home but we had so much fun. Between Kirk and I we traveled over 3500 miles and logged 56 driving hours. Our highlights were: meeting our new niece Liana (who was born on Kirk's birthday), seeing my friend Camille and her family, Chelsey's graduation, staying at both grandparent's houses, playing games with my family, Jones Hole, spending time with single Brett, playing with cousins, Brett's wedding, swimming with my family at the hotel pool, Salt Lake reception, Ben's baptism, temple square, staying with Camille, visiting my friend Katie, going to the zoo with friends, getting slurpees with my sisters at 11:00 at night, the Vernal reception, sleeping in Brett & Jess's bed (including being kicked out and ending up on the floor thanks to Kirsten), and coming home to Kirk
(who had finished painting our house...it looks great!)
6. Kirsten finally gave up the binky. With little coxing from us (except for the part where we cut off the nipple making it impossible to suck on...trust her she tried) she threw her pacifier in the garbage. I was expecting a huge fit from her at night and nap time now that she doesn't have her binky, but she has been really mature about it. So we went ahead and got rid of sippy cups too. Now that we are treating her like an older toddler she is acting like an older toddler and I love it. This week is potting training week. Wish us luck!
