Kirsten is 5 months old. She is so active and fun. She is doing all sorts of crazy things these days. She has the rolling thing down and rolls from toy to toy (or whatever is on the floor that she can get her hand on). She is always reaching for whatever we have, mainly the cell phone of course. One day we were eating dinner on the couch and Kirk was holding her in his lap. I fed Kirk some of the food on my plate and she reached out like crazy wanting to the grab the fork. We grabbed a unopened bag of microwave popcorn and let her play with it (she loves the sound of the wrapper). Well of course she wasn't interested in the popcorn when I kept feeding Kirk food. So we grabbed the popcorn and tossed it back and forth to each other. Kirsten was kicking and reaching like crazy for the popcorn and we gladly obliged.
She makes all sorts of noises whenever there is silence (especially in relief society). Our favorite is her high pitched shrill saying "I'm bored Mom. Mom, I'm bored. Bored, bored, bored. Mom I'm bored" If she ever has the chance to stick her drool filled fingers on your face she will take it...consider yourself warned. She sure keeps life exciting.
She goes all the times and has a hard time sitting still and cuddling. She refuses to fall asleep in my arms anymore....I can only get her to sleep in Sunday School by letting her sit up and nod off without any idea that she was falling asleep (and that describes how exciting church can be for us).
She's so sweet and always has a smile on her face for us. She loves singing songs with us and loves her dads version of "patty cake" and giggles really loud for him every time. I love how whenever she starts sweating the beads of sweat form on her nose first...it's really cute. We love her so much and are so glad that she is part of our family.
