Saturday night we decided to go for a hike up Mapleton Canyon. It was my favorite place to hike in college but I had never taken the time to show it off to Kirk. Last night was the time. We loaded up and debated between putting Kirsten in the sling or pushing her in the stroller (it's a fairly decent trail). After realizing the baby carrier we had was actually a baby backcarrier we went ahead and put Kirsten in it. (She absolutely hates the front carrier so we were happy that she could be on Kirk's back)
Turns out that she LOVES the backpack. She could see everything and was swaying back and forth like she was actually walking. She loved it! We hiked up the canyon while Kirk got to hear about all the bad dates I had been on hiking this particular canyon. Then we came to a cute stream and had to stop to put our feet in. We thought Kirsten would freak out but she wasn't phased at all until she realized how cold it was! She demanded to be put back in her backpack-but not before we got this cute picture of her and Kirk.

No better Trip was ever invented, than a lucky dad and his two beautiful girls. Until we have more kids of course then that will be the best trip ever invented.
