This adorable little girl loves her puppies Nana gave her for her birthday
she also loves grapefruit
and Q-tips
She giggles when you tickle her toes and neck
and says gaw when she sees something she likes
Being one is the bomb!

Our New Favorite Thing

For Kirsten's birthday we invested in a bike trailer
which was a huge hit
not even Kirsten wanted to get out
(and thats saying something)

It was great for standing

and brushing her teeth

We had an awesome time and can't wait for bike rides all summer long
(or until the belly gets too large)

Our weekend

This weekend we headed out to Vernal, again
(we just can't get enough of that place!)

Friday night Kirk and I attended a fireside given by Richard Paul Evans on becoming wealthy. He has a free website if you want to check it out and become wealthy yourself 5lessons.com

Saturday I went to women's conference with my mom and Karen where he spoke again. It was really a spiritual experience and I'm so glad I attended.

That night my awesome sister Camille hosted a birthday party for Kirsten.
Chelsey and I decorated
(I didn't get a picture of the decorations until most had been destroyed)
but you can see that we stole Dwights party decorating ideas on the officeCamille made Kirsten this awesome Barbie cake
which Kirsten actually ate!
She probably would have dug in too, but we didn't have a high chairKirsten is a balloon fanatic and spent most the evening on the ground playing with balloons
(actually she is currently playing with left over balloons from her party here)

Everyone was so generous and gave her such nice gifts.
She left with a completely new wardrobe
(it's ok to be jealous, I am too)

Karen gave her this cute puppy dog that does tricks when you tell it to
It was the star of the party

We stayed with the Howcrofts
Kirsten insisted on feeding Kirk her breakfast

Whenever we are at my moms house Kirsten bee-lines it for the piano.
I have great hopes for her
(ps notice her shoes over her pjs, she pulled them out of the suitcase herself and wanted Kirk to put them on her)

Balloon Race

At Kirsten's birthday party in Vernal we had a balloon race. We tried to think of some of Kirsten's favorite thing to do....this is what we have come up with. Kirsten loves balloons and is always sticking them in her mouth and crawling around, we figured everyone should try it and made a race out of it.
In the first race we had Abby, Jacob, and Kristy

Madison, Dynelle, and Spencer raced second

Chelsey, Alyviah, and Karen raced next

Then it was Camille, Brayden, and Justin

Madison (went for my mom because her arm was sore)
Kirsten and Kirk finished up the racing

Oh and the prizes?
Fruit snacks!

Kirsten's First Birthday!

Yesterday Kirsten turned 1!
We had a fantastic day...with lots of friends, family, and balloons
(the key to any successful party)
Kirk and I made this cute cake for Kirsten
it is delicious
and there is plenty left, so come have a piece!

because she never even tasted any of the cake
She did decorate her balloons in frosting thoughand finally tasted

Saturday Kirk took Kirsten and I out to lunch
we decided to try Kneaders Bakery for the first time

Baby Update

Today we are 13 weeks!
Goodbye first trimester!
I haven't felt nausea for about a week (yea!)
But I get so tired in the second trimester that I could sleep all night and all day
I had my first appointment with our new doctor today

She is amazing
As soon as I was signed in and my paperwork filled out
they took me back to get an ultrasound!
Kirk and I were immediately in love with this office
Baby looks awesome, stuborn just like her sister, though
no profile picture, but nice picture of her back...don't you think?
Then I met with the nurse, who was very thorough,
which I appreciated

Back to the waiting room for the doctor
a friendly smiley woman came and showed me to my exam room
a few minutes later she came back in and said she was my doctor
who actually took the time to come get us from the waiting room so we weren't waiting forever!
that's my kind of doctor.
She was so friendly and kind
We talked about having a c section with Kirsten
and she gave me more of an idea why I might have had one, from what we told her, than Kirsten's doctor ever did.


I was really in love after the appointment.
She even gave me a hug as she left the room.
I told Kirk we aren't ever leaving Provo because I want her to deliver all my babies.
