New Tricks
This past week Audrey has started clapping.
It melts my heart every time.
It's hard getting her to preform when she's tired, in front of the camera
(sorry the video is sideways)
Kirsten also started saying "elbow" and it's adorable
Turn your volume way up cause she's got a sweet soft little voice

17 wraps of the elastic is all it took
Notice anything different?
Look really close...
We have entered the world of ponytails!
(just barely, but hey teeny tiny bits of hair count too)
Kirsten spent most of her day right next to Audrey playing with the new ponytail.
(if you know Kirsten, at all, you know she is always playing with her own ponytail)
Audrey is already getting annoyed with all the extra attention.
Ponytails might just be for special occasions.

(thanks for getting married Brett & Jess, I can't think of a better "special occasion")

Picture Update
This morning Kirsten insisted on sitting at the table with her favorite stuffed animals. I gave her some food too but there wasn't any eating going on. I guess she just needed some one on one time with her toys? Or maybe they were having an important board meeting? Who know what goes through her mind sometimes. I love watching her imagination run wild though. There is nothing more creative than a kid!
Then later this morning she handed me the camera and started cheesin it (can you tell she's saying "cheeeeese"). Gotta jump on the chance for a posed smile!
Audrey got suckered into a few pictures too.
Dang my girls are cute!

7 updates
1. New House!
We LOVE our new house! We have been here for just over 3 weeks and Audrey has slept through the night (8pm to 7 am) three times. Really do I have to say more than that? Things are great. I wish we were completely unpacked and the house was decorated, but it turns out I have two kids so instead we spend lots of time nursing, eating popsicles, playing on the floor, changing diapers, and playing at the park. Kirsten has learned to open doors and wow it's like she learned how to walk all over again. She's into everything all the time, it's totally new found freedom. It's fun to have her walk down the stairs after her nap super happy, but it also means she walks down the stairs 5 minutes after I put her down for a nap. And I love that she likes to take care of her baby sister, but when she opens Audrey's bedroom door and wakes Audrey up it's a little too helpful. That's why there are child proof door handles on the inside of Kirsten's door and outside of Audrey's door now. Kirk thinks it was cruel, I find it necessary for my sanity.
2. Easter
3. 7 Months
While they were here my sister Amanda decided she wanted some sunshine too and hopped on the greyhound bus and came on down. We of course loved having her around and wished she always lived just a few minutes away. Life just isn't as good without her nearby.
And that weekend my brother Garrett and his wife brought down the rest of our stuff from Vernal. We went to Red Rock Canyon, which is somewhere we will definitely be revisiting. We had fun tricking them into jumping into our not so heated pool. Classic move that I wish I would have gotten on video...regrets! Not just anyone would drive their truck 8 hours with brand new tires, that's why I'm so lucky to have a great brother like Garrett.
And also Kirk's Aunt Amy and family came down for a night. Add in Chelsey, Kirk's parents, and then my sister Kristy and family, friend Megan, and Kirk's brother coming this weekend we are not lonely people. We love visitors and hope you come visit too!
6. Phones
I dropped my phone in the bathtub while I was bathing Kirsten. It came back to life thankfully (although the keyboard didn't, good thing I'm a pro at texting). But after about a week something went haywire and now I can hear people but people can't hear me. (Sometimes I call Kirk and just make him talk to me while he drives home from work :) One time I made him trade me phones and did all the talking...I thought it was lots of fun, but he hasn't wanted to do it since...who doesn't like to hear a woman going on and on without being able to tell her she's being too dramatic about something). Anyway last week I took his phone to walmart and totally lost it. Wasn't excited to come home and tell Kirk I lost his phone and oh by the way mine doesn't work either. But luckily prayers were answered and someone turned the phone in. In some ways I love not having a phone. I don't feel like I should be talking to someone or checking in with people all the time. I'm having a hard time wanting to get a new one. So I haven't. And it's driving Kirk nuts. But I think the reason I am so reluctant is that I love my phone even though it's super broken and I know I won't be able to afford something as nice. How lame of a reason is that? Just thought you should know.

2. Easter
We had a fabulous Easter this year. My sister Chelsey came and spent the entire weekend with us for her spring break. It was fabulous to have her around. We had a ton of fun shopping, she is my absolute favorite person to shop with. Kirsten adored having her around and keeps checking the guest bedroom for her. Tom and Karen also decided to make the long drive down to Vegas for Easter. It was great to have them here just hanging out. The girls haven't spent much time with Tom and they totally ate up having their Grandpa around. And as usual the girls drank up the playing and cuddling from their Nana (ate up? drank up? do I make it sound like my girls are starving without grandparents near by?). We had fun visiting and just being together. We made a trip out the the Hoover Dam, colored Easter eggs, hid and found Easter eggs, went to a magic show and a Vegas buffet, and enjoyed Conference.
It's true, she's already 7 months. Yay and bummer all at the same time. This girl gets attention every where we go. I'm not exaggerating when I say people flock to her like sunshine to the desert. She usually suckers them to her with one of her heart melting Audrey smiles. I'm pretty sure Kirk is the one who will suffer most though.
4. Teeth!
Yep, and she's a biter too. She'll smile draw you in with her smile and grab onto your finger making you think she really likes you and she'll pull it towards her mouth laughing and while you think she's so cute she chomps on your finger so fiercely and quickly that you will bleed. I've never been so afraid of teeth in my life. And somehow I'm still nursing. I'm telling you, she draws you in with that smile...
5. Visitors!
I think one of our favorite parts of living in Las Vegas will be all the visitors we get. About an hour after we moved in our first visitors arrived. My best friend Camille and her family. They came down all the way from Logan for Spring Break. They were so great to help us unpack and settle in our house. The kids had so much fun playing together. She has two boys the same ages as my girls and we are pretty sure they are destined to marry each other. We had so much fun just being together that I've missed them pretty much nonstop since they've left. sigh. We made some pretty good memories though, one that included a bath, a shower, flooding, some pretty hot clean up crews, someone running through the house in a towel, and someone else loosing their pants completely in front of everyone. Good story. But really don't ask, it was pretty embarrassing. We love you Hunting family. I only got one picture of all the fun we had because it was moving week and my camera was lost for most of the week. (I won't tell you that it was in my makeup bag which I didn't use from Monday til Friday, just remember please that it was moving week)While they were here my sister Amanda decided she wanted some sunshine too and hopped on the greyhound bus and came on down.
